On weeknight in November, Collin was in charge of cooking, but he said he would bring some food home instead and asked me what I wanted to eat for dinner. I wasn’t feeling well for a while and was in the recovery mode, so I was thinking about something not oily.

I asked Sushi from Sushi Zero One. It is located on Pender Street downtown in Vancouver, walking distance from Waterfront station. As far as I look at their tweets, they always provide fresh fish, which is very important when it comes to Sushi or Sashimi. Since they no longer open on weekends, I have kept away myself.

He ordered from their regular menu.

Downtown Combination
(Tuna Roll, Tuna Nigiri, Salmon Nigiri, Ebi Nigiri, Tai Nigiri, Tamago, Saba Nigiri, Ika Nigiri)

It has been almost a year since the last visit? I hope they can open on weekends again.

On the weeknight, I had to go to downtown Vancouver to have a meeting. It was almost 8:00pm when I finished, so I decided to take out. During the day, I saw a post on their Facebook, saying Uni (Sea Urchin) arrived in the store. Well then, I should eat them while they are fresh, right?

You know which restaurant I’m talking about. I went to Sushi Zero One.

I ordered from their today’s special menu.

Uni & Ikura Donburi
(Sea Urchin & Salmon roe Sushi Bowl)

The price was slightly up. Uni must cost more than before.

On the weeknight, I went to downtown Vancouver to have my hair cut. By the time when it’s done, it was dinner time. I decided to eat out somewhere. I felt like eating either warm dish or some fish. I couldn’t think of any other restaurants, so I went to Sushi Zero One.

It is in a walking distance from Waterfront station. The store is really small that can take 3-4 stools on window counter and three 2-people tables.

I ordered from their today’s special menu.

Today’s Special C (Gorgeous Chirashi Don with Miso soup)
(Albacore Tuna, Wild Sockeye Salmon, Yellowtail, Mebachi Tuna, Scallop, Shrimp, Egg Omlet on Bowl of Sushi Rice)

There are regular and large sizes to choose. This is regular one. I should have taken a picture, moving Shiso leaf to show all fish underneath. ;P

* The winter business hour is applied since the end of November. No open on weekends.
