Collin and I stayed in Whistler on New Year’s night. After ready for riding, we went to Creekside where Creekside Gondola takes you to the Whistler mountain. We decided to have breakfast before we started riding.

Dusty’s is at the bottom of Whistler mountain of Creekside. For breakfast, Dusty’s Backside is open.

We ordered from their breakfast sandwiches menu.

Two seasons ago, hash brown potatoes for the sandwiches menu was an option to add with a cost, but now they are included in the price. With that, the price is slightly up since then.

The sandwiches looked better than before. They tasted good.

My ski time this season started a bit later than usual due to the delay of snow dump. In the middle of December, I went skiing to Whistler, and this was the second time to go up. It was still early season, so some sections on the mountains were still closed.

Before my first run of the day, I decided to have breakfast at Roundhouse. The Roundhouse is a place beside the top of Whistler Gondola accessing from the village. It is a two-story building, and there are washroom, gift shops, and seats that you can have food or rest. On the first floor, there is Pika’s food station and a cafe station, and on the second floor, there are food stations, Mountain Market and Expressway (behind each other), a cafe stand, a bar, and a restaurant.

Pika’s wasn’t open yet due to the early season, and there is a sing to go upstairs, Expressway.

I ordered from Breakfast Sandwiches menu.

The combination of brie, egg and croissant is great. Hash browns weren’t crispy; they were like being steamed.

The price is slightly up since the last season.

Collin had been asking to go to this place, but it always happened to be Sunday. They don’t open on Sundays. On the last weekend in November, we were finally able his wish to come true.

His wish was to get a baguette from Finch’s Tea & Coffee House. This cozy cafe is on Pender Street and often occupied by many people.

We ordered from their baguette menu.

His choice, Prosciutto
(Prosciutto, Edam, tomato, red leaf lettuce, oil & vinegar)

He asked Cheddar instead of Edam. This is favorite. It had been long time since his last visit, so he enjoyed it a lot and asked me if he should get another one! :O

My choice, Pear
(Pear, blue brie, prosciutto, roasted walnuts)

This is my favorite, and I just can’t choose something new! 😀 The last time when it was a spring time, pear wasn’t ripen yet. This time, it was juicy.
