Collin’s dad invited us for home-made pizza dinner one day. According to Collin, his dad got a pizza stove. How exciting! I have seen brick pizza ovens in some restaurants, but I couldn’t image how the home-type pizza stove looks like. Ta-da!

And, here pizza came out!

Everybody thought the dough was chewy, and he said he would change the recipe next time.

Here is some Sangria to drink with.

At almost the midnight of two nights prior to my friend’s baby shower, the organizer sent me a message that there was some idea of what we would do at the party, and she asked if I had time to look for and buy the materials. Although I wasn’t sure what she was exactly looking for, I told her I would try.

On the next night (as it was a working day), I went to a few places to search. With not much choices and early store closing time, I moved onto the stores quickly. When I thought this would be the last store that I can go on that night, and I was looking at the materials, my friend, who was also going to the party, sent me a text! Oh, my! It was a good timing. I called her right away and asked if she can come to the store. (Luckily, it was close to her place.) As a result, I was able to decide the right one to buy!

After a relief, we decided to have some bites. As she drove, we went to Main street without any ideas. We parked the car and walked on Main street back and forth, and we walked in Hyde Restaurant. It looked like a pub, and they serve some comfy foods. There were patio outside.

We shared all food that we ordered.

The pizza was good, too.

We couldn’t finish them all, so I took the leftover home. There are no special things to mention about this place, however, not only was food comfy, but also the place was!

There was one friend whom I hadn’t seen over a year. She said she finally feels better and eats better, and she can go out, so we planned a date back in June for brunch. It used to be she was the one who always would catch new restaurants’ info, but since her info was out-dated, I needed to find a place.

I read a blog about this place, Incendio Pizzeria, saying calzone tasted good and pizza still tasted great even after it got cold. So, I chose this restaurant. Their interior looks like a bar, but they serve lunch and brunch, too. It is located in Gastown area.

We ordered from their brunch menu.

Calzone was huge! Even I couldn’t finish. 🙂 I took half home. You would need to allow 20 min or so to make this. Both pizza and calzone tasted so good. I will definitely go back there.

And, an extra picture of the restaurant interior.
