On the last weekend in October, I had a plan to meet my hiking friend. It had been almost two months since our last hiking together, as our timing wasn’t met or the weather wasn’t good. This time also, we didn’t go hiking. Instead, we planned to have tea.

As I mentioned a few times before, Sunday isn’t good for going cafe or restaurants. Anyways, the first two places in Gastown where we tried were closed due to Sunday. So, we went to Acme Cafe. It is located on Hastings Street, close to Woodward’s building. They open even between lunch and dinner time, which is great.

We both ordered a piece of pie.

I looked at the post on my previous visit, and I realized I ate the same thing! Although this lemon pie is good, I would like to try something different next time.

Note that the price is slightly up since the last visit.

Collin and I hiked and had brunch in Deep Cove. We went shopping here and there after that in North Vancouver and Granville Island, and we walked along False Creek towards Canada Line. It was a quite hot day, and we were so thirsty. Holiday always gives us tough time to find a place.

Luckily, Pekoe Tea Lounge was open on the way! It is located on Broadway, close to Laurel street. They have a lot of kinds of tea leaves in the store. In addition, they serve pie that looks good.

We ordered from their featured menu.

We liked both. Honey mint ice tea was sweet, and Matcha lemonade was bitter than I thought.

While I was at Friday Night Market in North Vancouver with my friend in the middle of June, we tried a couple of street cart food. After eating, we looked around the booth/tents. There were many different baking stuff, chips, ice cream (oh, maybe Gelato?), soup, organic stuff, veggies and fruits.

We checked out one of the bakery thing. It was Sweet Thea. They sell pie, tart, and cookies. I asked the staff where they sell, and he said they are from Langley, but they don’t have a store. Mostly sell at market. That made us buy something, as we thought we didn’t get much chance to try other than this market. My friend got one tart, and I got two, for me and Collin.

I forgot to take a picture of the individual one at home.

Pear Almond tart was tasty, even I had next day. Collin seemed to like the lemon tart, too.
