On the long weekend of the Victoria Day, I asked my friends if they wanted to go to Whistler. The mountain wasn’t open for hiking at that time yet, but we could go walking around some lake. As one of them wanted to buy a collection of Starbucks mug in Whistler, we decided to go.

The original plan was to find the mug, hike around Lost Lake, have lunch, and visit Alta Lake if we have time. However, when I double checked the opening time of the restaurant, they would close at 2:30 pm due to the off season! So, the plan changed! We went to the restaurant first. Well, there were a lot of people outside waiting for seats.

Crepe Montagne is located in Whistler Village North behind IGA marketplace. They serve French crepe, using buckwheat, as well as Swiss fondue and raclette.

We ordered from their lunch and dinner menu.

My choice, Seafood Crepe
(Scallops, Baby Shrimp & Langoustina Lobster meat with little cheese in light cream sauce)

Mmm, so good! They must have changed the sauce from white sauce to rose. The taste is still good.

Champignons Crepe
(Mushrooms with Canadian Bacon in cream sauce)

You can choose either ham or Canadian bacon.

Ham & Cheese Crepe in Bechamel sauce, adding one egg

One of my friends wasn’t sure if she wanted to eat breakfast or lunch. Our server gave an idea that she can add an egg to this lunch menu, instead of ordering breakfast crepe, and she went for it!

I’m glad that both of my friends also enjoyed their food. 🙂

I don’t remember what was exactly, but Collin and I talked about seafood dishes, like I like this, that should be blah, what if you do this, etc., etc. And, he said he wanted to make duo dishes and liked me to compare them. Well, I’m his guinea pig. 😛

Left: Mushroom Risotto & Pan-seared Scallops
Right: Halibut & Spicy Veggies and Cashew

Duo: Mushroom Risotto & Pan-seared Scallops, Halibut & Spicy Veggies and Cashew

Halibut & Spicy Veggies and Cashew

Scallops were perfectly cooked, and risotto was right-seasoned and tasted good. My halibut was little overcooked, compared to his, but still it was well-seasoned and tasted good. Veggies were a bit sour for me by tomatoes.

So, I would say Mushroom Risotto & Pan-seared Scallops won!

Collin made a lot of tomato sauce at the last chopped challenge, so I asked if he can make something for my birthday with them. He gave me some idea, such as lasagna, but I wanted something else. I gave an idea, Pizza.

He made six pizza with different toppings.

Tomato and Oregano, Pepperoni, Cheese and Oregano, Ham, Green Pepper and Mushrooms, and Pepperoni, Green Pepper and Mushrooms
