The event for Collin’s birthday still continued. 🙂 When a birthday for one of our close friends comes up, we plan to get together. This time was no exception. We gathered up for him and had dinner.

He chose the restaurant, Shanghai Xiao Long Bao. It is located in a couple of blocks away from Waterfront station. Our friends arrived there first and were guided to the party room, but they seemed to ask to seat at an open table instead. As far as I see, the room was cozy but you maybe feel suffocated.

We ordered dishes with meat or veggies, as one of us does not eat seafood.

Honey Beef

This tasted good! The sweetness was just right.

One of the friends said she preferred this to pan-fried one. I preferred pan-fried.

Moo Shu Pork
(Sauteed Sliced Pork, Eggs and Black Fungus)

I didn’t know what moo shu was. It is basically a stir-fry with wood ear mushroom (black fungus) and eggs. I never liked the mushroom, but I liked this dish. That’s good! Thin pancake came with this dish, and you eat, wrapping moo shu, like Fajita.

Fried Green Beans with Minced Pork in Spicy Sauce

As the name said, it was spicy! With all other dishes, it was a great kick.

Baked Scallion Pancake

This vegetarian dish was much tastier than I thought. I believe green onions were inside, and I don’t remember if there were the other veggies. 😛

Pan-fried Pork Bun (6 pieces)

This is always good! Hot juice comes out when you bite. Watch your mouth, don’t get burn!

All dishes were so good. I’m glad that I found more dishes that I like from this restaurant.

And, as usual, we got some birthday cake. From where? It will be revealed in the next post. 🙂
