The Fair at PNE (Pacific National Exhibition) is held from the end of August to Labour Day in Vancouver. It is a fun place for everyone to enjoy on exhibitions and food, in addition to rides or games.

After we got BBQ sandwiches, we got thirsty. We couldn’t see any bottle of water or tea, except lemonade. We kept walking and I saw some drinks at this food truck.

Roaming Dragon is a well-known street food truck since the launch. I have heard of this truck, but I just missed the chances all time. They serve Pan-Asian food, including drinks and dessert.

We ordered drinks.

Watermelon & Mint Soda

Both drinks were so refreshing, especially in the hot day. There were lots of Lychee fruits in the juice, which I really liked.

In a couple of hours later, we came back to the truck to get some dinner to share.

Collin likes this. To me, it was just fine. Not so special to me. You can choose the filling from sweet chili calamari, lemongrass chicken, or Kaffir lime fried tofu.

If I have another chance, I would love to try different dishes.

Collin and I hiked and had brunch in Deep Cove. We went shopping here and there after that in North Vancouver and Granville Island, and we walked along False Creek towards Canada Line. It was a quite hot day, and we were so thirsty. Holiday always gives us tough time to find a place.

Luckily, Pekoe Tea Lounge was open on the way! It is located on Broadway, close to Laurel street. They have a lot of kinds of tea leaves in the store. In addition, they serve pie that looks good.

We ordered from their featured menu.

Honey Mint Iced Tea and Matcha Lemonade

We liked both. Honey mint ice tea was sweet, and Matcha lemonade was bitter than I thought.

At almost the midnight of two nights prior to my friend’s baby shower, the organizer sent me a message that there was some idea of what we would do at the party, and she asked if I had time to look for and buy the materials. Although I wasn’t sure what she was exactly looking for, I told her I would try.

On the next night (as it was a working day), I went to a few places to search. With not much choices and early store closing time, I moved onto the stores quickly. When I thought this would be the last store that I can go on that night, and I was looking at the materials, my friend, who was also going to the party, sent me a text! Oh, my! It was a good timing. I called her right away and asked if she can come to the store. (Luckily, it was close to her place.) As a result, I was able to decide the right one to buy!

After a relief, we decided to have some bites. As she drove, we went to Main street without any ideas. We parked the car and walked on Main street back and forth, and we walked in Hyde Restaurant. It looked like a pub, and they serve some comfy foods. There were patio outside.

We shared all food that we ordered.

The pizza was good, too.

We couldn’t finish them all, so I took the leftover home. There are no special things to mention about this place, however, not only was food comfy, but also the place was!
