One day in May, Collin and I had a bad day. I just couldn’t stay home, so I left for walking and had a cup of tea at a coffee shop. As it was getting dark and late, I decided to have dinner out or to get something to go.

I went to Hyoga Japanese Cuisine on Kingsway. At my last two visits, I didn’t have much Sushi, so my choice was Sushi. They serve Japanese tapas like Izakaya dishes, too.

I ordered from their regular menu.

Nigiri Sushi
(Left to down: Red Tuna, Hamachi, Ebi, Tamago, Right to down: Toro, Ikura, Amaebi)

These are my choices, not assorted by them. Sushi was good! They deep-fried Amaebi’s head for me, which was great!

On the weeknight, I had to go to downtown Vancouver to have a meeting. It was almost 8:00pm when I finished, so I decided to take out. During the day, I saw a post on their Facebook, saying Uni (Sea Urchin) arrived in the store. Well then, I should eat them while they are fresh, right?

You know which restaurant I’m talking about. I went to Sushi Zero One.

I ordered from their today’s special menu.

Uni & Ikura Donburi
(Sea Urchin & Salmon roe Sushi Bowl)

The price was slightly up. Uni must cost more than before.

My friend told me that this small restaurant provides great Sushi Bowl. I had known this place, but I just didn’t feel like going and didn’t have a chance to take out. Well, I tried and this was the second time, I think. Sushi Zero One is located close to Waterfront station and in front of a bus stop, so that you can order to-go for dinner after work. They do deliver, too.

I ordered from their seasonal menu. (Not currently available.)
