On the second day of the Canada Day long weekend, although it was Sunday, Collin got a day off! It is nice to spend a whole day together, and as we had discount lift tickets, we went to Whistler. The summer started really nice, and it wasn’t exception for Whistler!

Once we got there, the first thing he wanted to do was to have a breakfast at our favorite crepe restaurant. 😀 Okay then, let’s go. I came with my friends in May and had lunch. This time, we had breakfast.

Crepe Montagne is located in Whistler Village North behind IGA marketplace. This location seems a bit confusing. I told another friends about this restaurant, and it sounded to take a while for them to reach the place when they tried.

We ordered from their breakfast menu.

I love their fresh squeezed juice! I like orange, I like apple, and I like mixing orange and apple, too!

You can choose either ham or Canadian bacon.

I asked no green onions on my crepe, in case you wondered why.

Looking at the menu again, the only difference between his and mine was the number of eggs. I didn’t notice until now. 🙂

On a Sunday morning, Collin said he wanted to have sandwiches for brunch. I was searching for Sunday brunch places where serve sandwiches. Although this places is an Italian restaurant, I found they have some bread on their menu, so I asked if this was OK or not. Well, he says fine most of time, and this is not an exception.

La Pentola is a sister restaurant of La Quercia where I believe recently is closed. As this restaurant is at OPUS hotel in Yaletown, I thought it was fine-ish dining, but not so much. People, who ran a marathon, even came in.

We ordered from their lunch and brunch menu.

The souffle was soft and warm, and I liked that. It was probably the first time for me to eat savory souffle. And, I liked that crudo, too. If I can share, I would order again.

His choice, Croissant + Eggs
(Croissant, Scrambled Eggs, Maple Bacon, Butter Lettuce)

My choice, Sardine + Toast
(Sardine, Fried Egg, Swiss Chard, Toast, Salsa Verde)

Collin said there was no special note on croissant dish. For my dish, the toast was a bit oily because of sardine oil. The sardine had a lot of small bones, so if you don’t like that, then don’t order it.

And, an extra picture outside.

There is eggplant terrine on the menu, and I want to try, as I read a blog saying it was so good.

On the first weekend of this year, I went to Metrotown in Burnaby. I can’t remember what I was doing there, but I was so thirsty and needed to get something to drink. There were so many people here and there, because of continuous boxing sale. There is my favorite place in the Food Court, yet I wasn’t even closer. So, I stopped by at this store.

Orange Julius is in two locations in Metropolis. One is close to Superstore, and the other is at the Food Court. I went to the one close to Superstore.

I ordered fresh squeezed juice.

The staff cleaned up the squeezing machine before she started making. I know it’s more work and consuming time to clean up each time when customers order different mix, as I worked at a restaurant and made drinks before, but I’m glad she did so that I don’t have to taste carrot etc. I like the fact that people do what they’re supposed to do without being told.
