Collin and I stayed in Whistler on New Year’s night. After ready for riding, we went to Creekside where Creekside Gondola takes you to the Whistler mountain. We decided to have breakfast before we started riding.

Dusty’s is at the bottom of Whistler mountain of Creekside. For breakfast, Dusty’s Backside is open.

We ordered from their breakfast sandwiches menu.

Two seasons ago, hash brown potatoes for the sandwiches menu was an option to add with a cost, but now they are included in the price. With that, the price is slightly up since then.

The sandwiches looked better than before. They tasted good.

In the early October, the sky was clear up, and it was nice to be out. For the weekend brunch, what Collin was craving for was pancake at De Dutch. It is called Pannekoek and like a crepe. We like their special bacon.

De Dutch Pannekoek House is in a few locations in Vancouver, and we went the one at Canada Place in Coal Harbour. When you go to the harbour, find a big raindrop object, and turn left along the inlet. Eventually, you will find the restaurant.

They serve not only pancake, but they also have breakfast menu, egg benedict, french toast, etc.

We ordered from their Pannekoek menu. He made some complicated request for his order, asking to put pancake in a separate plate from savory and also to add fruit topping, which ended up causing mixing up and misunderstanding.

My choice, Pannekoek with Pear + Maple Syrup

His fruit topping was on my plate, which was also what he meant. He meant something like fruit compote, not fresh fruit topping. The server was happy to replace it for him. Anyways, I liked my pear and maple syrup choice.

This time, the service was great. It was a busy time, but the food came out quickly, too.

Pricing seems to be slightly up, compared to the last time.

Still talking about food in September, Collin and I decided to go for brunch on the last weekend of September. I was searching for a place the night before the weekend. I didn’t feel like eating sandwiches, and there wasn’t a place where I eager to go.

So, for my curiosity, because everyone seems to like this restaurant, I chose Hawksworth Restaurant. They are located in Rosewood Hotel Georgia across from the Vancouver Art Gallery. There is a cafe beside them, which I have been a few times. Both the restaurant and the cafe are owned by a same person.

We didn’t make a reservation, but we managed to get a seat right away. The restaurant was packed, so it is probably recommended for a reservation.

My choice, Pacific Sablefish Brandade

I was surprised by the price of the coffee. It was expensive to me for one person. (It might be charged per table?) Well, I liked my choice of food, though.
