Collin and I went window shopping after having burger, walking along Village Stroll path in Whistler. When we were passing nearby the Whistler Olympic Plaza, we found our favorite tea shop, DAVIDsTEA.

Although their website says the address is Main street, if you walk on Main street, you won’t see this store. The store is actually faced to Village Stroll path. They have some seats inside the store, which is Whistler-tic deco.

Collin ordered from Flavoured Black tea leaf, and I ordered from Green tea leaf.

His choice was Organic Cherry Cola. Their site says, “Sweet, bubbly and tartly, cherry cola is everything we love in a drink. And with this invigorating, cherry-spiked black tea, we’re pretty sure we captured the taste straight from the soda fountain.”

My choice, Organic Sencha Ashikubo
(From their site: This premium Japanese green tea comes from the Ashikubo valley and is dried using a traditional wood fire process.)

The staff told us how long to wait from removing tea bag individually, couple min for his tea, and a few min for my tea. I think it was a professional service. 🙂

I had noticed that a new DAVIDsTEA store was open in Pacific Centre while ago. The first time I knew about this tea company was when Collin and I found a store in Victoria, and we liked their tea. So, when I had late lunch at the Vietnamese restaurant and walked back to the downtown core, I decided to get some tea from this new store. The store was like the one in Victoria, but there were no seats. So, you have to go somewhere to sit or keep walking to enjoy tea.

The store is located at the place where used to be a game store in Pacific Centre beside the entrance faced on Dunsmuir street.

I ordered from Oolong tea leaf.

Organic High Mountain Oolong
(From their site: It’s grown in the Taiwanese mountains, where cool morning dew is quickly dispelled by hot sun, creating a leaf that’s richly flavourful.)

This tea was good for my stomach after eating too much. 🙂 I felt like it was cleansing. The price is higher than the store in Victoria. I don’t know if it depends on a location or 8 months made a difference.

After having unsatisfying Won Ton soup, we stopped by at a tea shop. DAVIDsTEA has lots of kinds of tea leaves, and their staff explains how each one tastes like or lets us smell those leaves.

The shop is not only a store to buy but also a cafe that you can sit and relax with your drink. One of their shops is located on Johnson street in downtown Victoria.

We both ordered from Green tea leaf.

Gyokuro Yamashiro
(From their menu: Unlike regular green tea, this is shaded for 6-7 weeks prior to plucking, so it’s dark, extra-energizing, and extremely rare outside of Japan.)

Organic Ever Green
(From their menu: Inspired by David Suzuki, this fruity blend combines Japanese Sencha with Canadian-sourced, sustainably harvested ingredients.)
