Spring cleaning seems common here in Canada, but a big cleaning up before the end of the year is my thing from my culture, and it is a big work, not only regular cleaning like vacuuming or cleaning bath and washroom, but also blinds, windows, fridge, cupboard, etc. I read a blog post that she was saying one place at a day! Oh, that I can try. So, I started from November little by little.

To organize cupboards, I wanted to buy some organizers and went to Daiso (Japanese Dollar shop) in Richmond. Anyways, thinking about how I wanted to organize or if the size was right, I was exhausted. To take a rest, I went to the food court in Aberdeen Centre where Daiso was.

There were lots of choices. You can go for some small savory food, or dessert. I chose Mazazu Crepe. The original shop is in Japan, and it is franchised in many countries. As name indicates, it is a creperie. You can see some samples in the showcase.

I ordered from their huge menu.

Look, how big it was! When it handed to me, my eyes were just rolling. 😀 I just wanted to have some sweets, that’s all. As I went there alone, I had to eat them all myself. Whipped cream, strawberries were inside, and soft ice cream was on top with chocolate sauce. I liked it, but next time I want to share with someone. 🙂

And, a picture of the restaurant exterior.

Before I headed to Aberdeen Centre, the sunset was beautiful at the Canada Line station.

When I attended my friend’s baby shower, I made some new friends. As I go hiking quite a lot, some of them asked me to take them for easy ones. Since then, I planned a couple of times and we had fun. In September, one of them contacted me and asked me if I can go hiking to a trail that I hadn’t been and also to go to this restaurant where I told her I had wanted to go, when I looked at her picture on Facebook.

The place was Cora. When I saw their food on the blog of a friend of a friend, that reminded me of food at Eggsquis in Quebec, and I really wanted to eat. The restaurant is in Coquitlam and Richmond, and they serve huge breakfast meal.

Here are what we ordered.

1990’s Harvest

This is super huge! Of course, she didn’t finish them. She asked real maple syrup, and these ones came. You get charged for this.

I believe this was vegetarian choice. She said there were lots of potatoes that made her stomach full.

My choice, Cora’s Special
(2 Eggs, Bacon, Ham, Sausage and Crepe)

The crepe was so small. That was a sad thing, but the dish had a pretty volume. I would like to try waffle next time, maybe? Not before hiking, though. 😉

On the second day of the Canada Day long weekend, although it was Sunday, Collin got a day off! It is nice to spend a whole day together, and as we had discount lift tickets, we went to Whistler. The summer started really nice, and it wasn’t exception for Whistler!

Once we got there, the first thing he wanted to do was to have a breakfast at our favorite crepe restaurant. 😀 Okay then, let’s go. I came with my friends in May and had lunch. This time, we had breakfast.

Crepe Montagne is located in Whistler Village North behind IGA marketplace. This location seems a bit confusing. I told another friends about this restaurant, and it sounded to take a while for them to reach the place when they tried.

We ordered from their breakfast menu.

I love their fresh squeezed juice! I like orange, I like apple, and I like mixing orange and apple, too!

You can choose either ham or Canadian bacon.

I asked no green onions on my crepe, in case you wondered why.

Looking at the menu again, the only difference between his and mine was the number of eggs. I didn’t notice until now. 🙂
