As I mentioned, Collin and I were at the Fair at PNE (Pacific National Exhibition) on Labour Day. After we had a light meal, he got some sweets. Instead, I wanted to have more savory food. I took a look at a few stands here and there, but some were too much, and some were too greasy, and I ended up choosing this.

Corn Castle stand offers fresh sweet corn from Chilliwack. I couldn’t find any more information, such as which farm those corns are coming from.

For some reason, Collin wanted to eat, too! Hey, you just ate a half bag of donuts!

Last year, it wasn’t cooked well. This year, I’m glad I did order! It was so sweet and fresh, and wasn’t mushy at all.

On Collin’s day off, I asked him to make seafood spaghetti for dinner. In my mind, I pictured spaghetti with white cream sauce, yet he made tomato sauce. Well, as long as it tastes good, I don’t mind eating either one.

For seafood, he got tiger prawns and scallops, and sweet corn to add in the tomato sauce.

There were no pictures, but he made chilli or minestrone really spicy last a few times, and I couldn’t eat much. So, I asked not to make spicy at all, which was the one of the reason that he added corn. 🙂

I love corn potage soup. And, I love chowder. So, when Collin made this, I couldn’t wait to eat! He also made cheese toast that looked so good!

I don’t think he put any meat in the chowder. A lot of veggies instead.
