The conversation with my friends for Dine Out Vancouver was continued, even after we decided to go to a restaurant for lunch. We wanted to go somewhere for dinner as well, but there were so many choices. Using all the communication tool (Facebook message, text, phone), we finally came to a decision. 😀

We decided to go to Yaletown L’Antipasto. They serve Italian food, located in Yaletown, as you can see their name. We all had never been there, so it was a good try-out with $28 Dine Out dinner.

We all ordered from their Dine Out menu.

Antipasti, Saute di Vongole
(Manilla Clams, sauted in white wine, extra virgin olive oil, garlic & chillies)

Both antipasti was good. Yet, I think my Vongole dish wasn’t so hot. Well, the taste was good, and the server brought some bread for us to have the broth with.

Primi, Pappardelle with Mixed Meat Ragu
(Beef Tenderloin, Italian Sausages, Chicken Breast & Boneless short ribs braised in a Tomato Sauce)

Primi, Risotto alla Pescatora
(Arborio rice, simmered with Tiger Prawns, Mussels, Clams & Calamari)

Risotto was strange. When my friend and I started eating, it was so good. Then after one third was eaten, more we continued to eat, saltier we tasted. At the end, we both needed to drink water and I was eager for my dessert.

Dolci, Lavender Creme Brulee

Oh, I liked the panna cotta. And, my friend really liked the creme brulee, too.

Here is a box that our bills were in.

We went back to hotel after walking around downtown Victoria, and I was searching restaurants for dinner. Collin said anything was fine, so I looked at somewhere serves good seafood.

Blue Crab Bar & Grill came up as good reviews. I made a reservation online. The restaurant seems to serve great seafood dishes. It is located in James Bay area, walking along Inner Harbour towards Fisherman’s Wharf.

We ordered from their regular and special menu (fresh sheet).

I thought the clams’ shape was strange. Collin said they were local ones.

I was so happy to eat so many of clams, but at the bottom of the soup bowl, there was a lot of sand sunk and it was getting inedible. We talked to the server and they gave me a small bowl of soup. I thought they just gave me soup but more clams were also in it. 🙂 And, there was no sand. Perfect!

One day when I was out for a meeting, Collin sent a message that he was going to make seafood bowl with veggies and noodles. Alright, why not? When he doesn’t ask what I want to eat, either some kind of inspiration came up on him or he just saw good fresh ingredients.

He sent additional message, clams scallop prawns mussel piano. I don’t know if there was any typo on this, but it sounded good. There were braised Daikon radish and carrots in the bowl.

He didn’t want to put the picture to the blog, but I like this picture so uploaded. 😛
