Although I had a hot meal for lunch, I was getting cold and tired after doing window shopping and walking around downtown Vancouver. So, I stopped by at the cafe.

Mink Chocolates is at a park-like-alley, from Canada Place to Hornby street. I still haven’t tried their chocolate fondue yet! I love their hot chocolate, so I must try.

Anyways, I ordered a drink for relaxing.

This post had been in the draft for looong time, as I lost my updating rhythm. ;P I read a news article about this restaurant back in June, and I went there one day in July.

Nero Belgian waffle bar is located on Robson street in West End area. The restaurant has only a few tables that probably 10 people max. can be seated. As waffle, there are two types; Brussels and Liege. The owner explained that Brussels one is crispy and Liege one is chewy but soft.

I chose Brussels for that time.

Brussels waffle was a bit crunchy outside for me. I would try Liege one if I go there next time.

And, extra pictures.

Even before coming down to Victoria, I had a place in my mind where I wanted to go and told Collin about it. The place was introduced in a TV show called “You Gotta Eat Here” of Food Network.

John’s Place is on Pandora street, and their waffle and eggs Benny seem to taste good. Although a parade had just started on Victoria Day, the restaurant was totally packed and had a lot of waiting people. We waited for 30 min or so.

We ordered from their breakfast menu.

The 222 Headache with Strawberry topping
(Collin’s choice: Belgian waffle with two eggs scrambled and two slices of grilled bacon, and their special cream cheese syrup)

Their special cream cheese syrup wasn’t imaginable, but once you tasted, you wouldn’t forget. It was that good. Collin said he wanted to make it at home. Yeah, please do! 😀

And, an extra picture of the exterior of the restaurant.
