One of my friends contacted me that we should get together. As we usually meet up with our common friends when we do so, I suggested him contact the others. Only one friend was available for that day. Well, three of us plus my friend’s baby (almost 3-yrs-old) got together. I invited Collin, too, since we all went to the same school, although he’d never met my friends.

As I thought a mom has to do a lot before going out, I suggested to go to this restaurant where she sometimes goes there because it is close to her house. Cafe de l’Orangerie serves Japanese style of Italian or French food. They are located on Granville street close to Richmond.

We ordered from their weekly specials and regular menu.

My hashed beef stew was quite huge! I was so full even after 5 hours. My friend said Chicken Nanban was the one that she always ordered. 🙂 I didn’t taste it, so I don’t know if it’s good or not. Collin ordered the exact same one as last time, even though I recommended a few different dishes.

I made a reservation for a restaurant for Dine Out Vancouver, where we have never been. I tried to book for another restaurants, but they were already fully booked for whole period!

The restaurant where we decided to go was Mistral French Bistro in Kitsilano. It is located on Broadway, two blocks from Macdonald Street. They served 3-course meal for $28, appetizer, main, and dessert.

Collin wanted to try French Onion Soup, so we ordered one to share, in addition to Dine Out course.
