I went hiking to North Shore with my friends in August. As usual, we were talking about where to have lunch after hiking, and they asked me. I wasn’t sure if the place was open, but I suggested one on Hastings Street, where serves all breakfast. When we passed by, there was a line up outside the restaurant, and they said they didn’t want to wait. Alternatively, I suggested this place, although there might be waiting time.

We tried to see if there was a line up. The place was Kishimoto Japanese Kitchen + Sushi Bar. They are on┬áCommercial Drive in Vancouver and serve Japanese food. Luckily, the waiting time wasn’t too bad, as we were seated at the counter.

We ordered from their lunch special menu. I didn’t take pictures of the others, since we were at the counter and I didn’t want to bother to move dish around.

Sushi & Sashimi Special

When I read it on the menu, it looked a big meal as lunch, but when it came, I didn’t think it was big. Yet, when I finished, it totally filled my stomach. čśÇ

Their lunch menu is not so interesting as much. It basically is a combination of Karaage, Gyoza, Udon, or Sushi, or Donburi, which is rice bowl with something on top.

I had an invitation of a surprise birthday party for my friend, but I got the detail at last minute and found out that it was potluck dinner. I was thinking to get some pizza from Giovane, but it wasn’t on my way to her place, so I changed my mind and called Sushi Zero One if they can make a party tray in less than 30 min. Luckily, they accepted! Sushi Zero One is in a walking distance from Waterfront station.

I ordered from their party tray menu.

Party Tray D
(12 California roll, 6 BC roll, 6 Yam roll, 6 Tuna roll, 6 Salmon roll, 6 Cucumber roll, 2 Tuna Nigiri, 2 Salmon Nigiri, 2 Ebi Nigiri, 2 Egg Nigiri)
