On New Year’s night, Collin and I headed to Whistler to ski next day. We decided this stay at last minute, so when we went to some of the restaurants in Whistler Village, there were a lot of people waiting at the door, and the waiting time was more than one hour.

I suggested checking up 21 Steps Kitchen & Bar, because when I went there with my friend on a long weekend before, we were able to squeeze into the lounge upstairs, without waiting for long for the restaurant downstairs. As I thought, we were guided to the lounge called “The Attic” and waited for 15 min to be seated. 🙂

21 Steps is a tapas restaurant, located between Whistler Village Square and bridge to the Village North. From Whistler Village Square, the path turns left to the bridge. Just before the turn, you will see the stairs and menu board on your right.

We ordered from their dinner menu. There are small plate and big plate sections.

He seemed to like this very much so that he ended up ordering another one.

Long Island Ice Tea Double
(Vodka, Tequila, Gin, Rum, Triple Sec with fresh lemon and Coke)

When I saw this, I had to order. This recalled one of my good memory that I spent time with co-workers in Whistler. Sentimental? Haha.

At the end of February, Collin and I took a couple of days off and went to Whistler. On the night of arrival, it was snowing even in the village. Collin told me that he didn’t want to walk far, so we chose one close to our hotel, which was also his favorite.

We walked in Teppan Village, and fortunately there was some seat space available for us right away. Usually, they recommend to make a reservation, for your note. The restaurant is located close to Whistler Gondola and cooks and serves food in front of you using Teppan (iron griddle).

We ordered from their Sushi and signature dinners menu. Village Special Dinner, which we each ordered, comes with filet mignon, tiger prawns, jumbo scallops, Teriyaki chicken, garden salad, Miso soup, Teppan vegetables, and rice.

It was lots of food, but we ate them all no problem! Yes, we were hungry. 😉 Scallops were cooked perfectly, chicken was tender, and filet mignon was medium rare as requested.

Their website is showing old pricing, and their Facebook page says a new site is coming!

I mentioned in the previous post that Collin and I went skiing to Whistler and we had early lunch around 11:00 am. We did riding until almost the lift closing. When we got to Whistler Village, we were both tired and needed to have something to eat. It was almost 4:00 pm, so I thought this would be supper. (Well, when we got home, he said he needed proper dinner! :O)

We went to Gone Bakery & Soup, where it is close to a book store in Whistler Village.

I ordered from their lunch menu, as I thought it would be supper. And, he ordered sweet from their special.

At the end, he ate half of mine, despite he usually doesn’t eat brown rice!
