It was a nice hot day in July. As I was out whole day and night on the previous day, I woke up later and decided to just walk around downtown Vancouver rather than go hiking. While I was walking, I looked for a place to have late lunch. I couldn’t get a better idea, so I stopped by at a food truck.

Cazba Express was on Robson street where the road was closed during summer. They have their restaurants in North Vancouver and Davie street and serve Persian food. I’m not familiar with those Middle Eastern food. Is it different from Iranian food? Anyways, I believe this is my first Persian food.

The wrap was bigger than I thought, so it filled up my stomach. The beef was tender. Their rice was long one, which is longer than long grain I had ever eaten. I would love to try Kabob next time!

You can check where they are or when they open for special events at the app.

On the next day of hiking, I had a Shiatsu appointment in downtown Vancouver. I didn’t want to eat before that, so I skipped lunch. After the appointment, I was walking around and looking for a place to eat, which was after 2 o’clock. Some were closed because of Sunday, and some were not open for the certain time period. Even though I had a Vietnamese restaurant in my mind, close to Davie and Seymour streets, it didn’t seem to open. I kept walking on Davie to the west and found another place.

Pho Goodness is located between Thurlow and Bute streets on Davie street and offers Vietnamese food. When I looked inside, this cozy restaurant was packed. Even after I stopped by bakery shop, it still was. It was almost 3 o’clock and I had to eat something, so I went in and waited.

I ordered from their regular menu.

And, this is a sign on the street for the restaurant.

I didn’t know the noodle soup included tripe until it was served. I’m just not used to the texture and couldn’t eat much. I liked noodles. For the soup, I’m not sure if I wasn’t feeling well or not, but more I drank, faster my heart beat, so I stopped at some point. (I have some heart condition.)

Spring roll wasn’t what I expected. What I wanted to order was a fried roll but with bubbly skin. I asked Collin about it when I got home, and he said that is rice paper. I don’t know if that kind of roll is on their menu.

Collin and I walked around the booth at Eat! Vancouver and also found ChoPain where sold croissants. As they said croissants were on the way, we walked around more other stuff and went back to their booth before we left the event.

The company name seemed to be Boulangerie Chopain, as far as I searched, and their old website and old Facebook page is gone just before this post was published. (I had to revise it. :)) Based on their old site, there might be some seats to eat in.
