On the meeting day, we all went out for lunch. As we went there by car, I didn’t check how to get there by public transportation, but there is a bus stop nearby.

Pho Japolo is a Vietnamese restaurant in North Vancouver, and they seem famous for Pho. It was a warm day, so I didn’t order one, though.

My choice, Marinated Grilled Lemon Grass Chicken & 2 Fried Rolls (No. 66)
(Served with steamed rice with savory sauce and broth)

Here are others’ orders.

Veggie Marinated Prawns & Grilled Chicken (No. 71, I think)

And, an extra picture of the restaurant sign along the road.

The grilled lemon grass chicken tasted good, but I personally didn’t like fried rolls at all. The texture was like croquette.

I wanted to go there, since I saw them on TV show, called “You Gotta Eat Here” of Food Network. I liked the dance with the host and a girl from the restaurant. 🙂 Anyways, as Collin’s work shift was later than usual, we had time to go there.

Tomahawk Restaurant is in North Vancouver. If you take a bus from Lonsdale Quay, it takes 15 min to the nearest bus stop. They don’t take names for waiting, so you just have to wait in line. We were there past 1:00pm and waited for about 20 min to be seated. However, it took about 30 min to deliver the food, so if you are in hurry, you’d better come back later.

We ordered from their breakfast menu. I wanted to order pancake, but the server said it’s only available before 12:00.

Oh, although they had a sign of no photos, I believe I’m allowed to take pictures of our food…

Campfire with yam fries
(A smaller version of Yukon Style Bacon & Eggs; One country-style egg, two slices of Yukon style bacon, and a thick slice of Klondike toast. Served with golden-griddled hash brown potatoes, which I asked the alternative with yam fries.)

Before even going there, Collin said he wanted to eat their bacon. Well, their Yukon style bacon was so good! Not greasy, not chewy, not thick, but tasty! And, I really liked yam fries.

Collin and I walked around the booth at Eat! Vancouver and found Her Majesty’s Pie Company. Although we couldn’t taste there because our tickets ran out, it looked good, so we just bought one. Collin actually wanted to buy strawberry rhubarb pie, but those were already sold out.

They had also gluten free ones. What I’m not sure about is if we can buy at their address. The site says call or find at Farmer’s Market.
