When I attended my friend’s baby shower, I made some new friends. As I go hiking quite a lot, some of them asked me to take them for easy ones. Since then, I planned a couple of times and we had fun. In September, one of them contacted me and asked me if I can go hiking to a trail that I hadn’t been and also to go to this restaurant where I told her I had wanted to go, when I looked at her picture on Facebook.

The place was Cora. When I saw their food on the blog of a friend of a friend, that reminded me of food at Eggsquis in Quebec, and I really wanted to eat. The restaurant is in Coquitlam and Richmond, and they serve huge breakfast meal.

Here are what we ordered.

1990’s Harvest

This is super huge! Of course, she didn’t finish them. She asked real maple syrup, and these ones came. You get charged for this.

I believe this was vegetarian choice. She said there were lots of potatoes that made her stomach full.

My choice, Cora’s Special
(2 Eggs, Bacon, Ham, Sausage and Crepe)

The crepe was so small. That was a sad thing, but the dish had a pretty volume. I would like to try waffle next time, maybe? Not before hiking, though. 😉

Since Collin’s mom was here, we planned to get together including his grandma. They picked us up at Lougheed Skytrain station and headed to the nearest restaurant that they were familiar with.

White Spot is a Canadian chain restaurant, which locations are various in BC and Alberta. They serve variety of food, salad, burger, Italian, Canadian food, etc. And, I found milkshake on the menu! I shouted at Collin about it, because I was so excited. 😉

We ordered from their burger menu. I took pictures of only my order.

The burger was good. I think the quality is high as a chain restaurant.

As I shouted about the milkshake, Collin’s mom suggested sharing with his grandma. His grandma didn’t want any, so I asked the server for half size. (I’m not sure if it was OK, but she brought a glass.)

Oh, I was so happy about this. 🙂 I loved the one at McDonald’s in Japan, but when I tried here in Canada, I didn’t like. Now I can have one anytime at White Spot!

Oh, do not think there is a new store open in Coquitlam! Back in May, when Collin’s mom visited him and they went to Lougheed mall, kids were selling those donuts in front of Walmart. So he got some for home.

I have heard of this seem-famous donuts from my friend before, but when I searched for it, the closest store was in Delta. As I don’t have a car, I didn’t have a chance to try.

It was sweat and good. You know, if you can’t get easily, everything is good when you get, both tasting and feeling! The only problem is you have to eat them all before soggy. :p
