In the middle of April, my co-worker told me that there was an announcement from Whistler Blackcomb, which a lift ticket for BC residents would be 50% off on that coming Sunday. Although it hadn’t snowed much, we decided to go! We headed there the night before and had dinner in Whistler.
We went to Sachi Sushi. They are a Japanese restaurant and serve Izakaya style dishes, in addition to Sushi. My co-worker seems to know the owner for a long time.
Ahi Tuna Tataki Salad (complimentary from the owner)
We ordered from their regular menu.
Uni (Sea Urchin) Nigiri
Engawa (Flounder Edge) Nigiri (special from the owner)
Manilla Crams Sakamushi Style
Hamachi (Yellowtail) Nigiri
Unagi (BBQ Eel) Nigiri
Toro (Fatty Tuna) Nigiri
Spider Roll
(Deep Fried Sift Shell Crab, Avocado, Cucumber and Spicy Mayo, 6 Pieces)
Ume Squid Roll (special from the owner)
Assorted Tempura
Ikura (Salmon Roe) Nigiri
Sachi Roll
(Shrimp Tempura, Avocado, Salmon, Scallop, Spicy Mayo rolled in a Yuba (soy sheet), 5 Pieces)
I’m not used to have a conversation with an owner while I’m eating, but getting interesting food is a fun part.
