Dine Out Vancouver means time for girls’ night. Since when? Last year. 
One of my friends asked me about this restaurant before, so why not going there?
Fishworks is in walking distance from Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. They served 3-course meal for $28, appetizer, main, and dessert.
I ordered a glass of white wine.
My friends’ appetizer, Fresh Fanny Bay Oyster, orange aspic, chives, orange blossom mignonette
Usually, Fanny Bay oysters are big fat that I don’t like. This was small ones, and my friends enjoyed them, saying they can eat another plate.
My appetizer, Marinated eggplant – soy, ginger, toasted pine nut
Bread
My friends’ main, Oxtail confit, roasted potato gnocchi, sweet peas, sardo
We all pictured in our mind that this dish would be like 5cm-height oxtail with bone served with gnocchi on the side! 
I was relieved that I didn’t order it, because I don’t really like gnocchi. And, one of my friends regretted that she should have stuck to her original choice. Sorry, my friend! Choose scallops next time.
My main, Steelhead, potato-leek gratin, orange emulsion, smoked garlic
My friends’ dessert, Chocolate Mousse (alternative of white chocolate cheese cake)
It was too sweet for them. I told them to order Tiramisu next time.

Umm, I’ll tell you what. I like their regular menu better. So, I will come again with my these friends.
